Cato Friendは東京とニューヨークを拠点にアート活動を行っています。すでに在学中から著名出版社のファッションイラストレーションを提供し、その活動をスタートしました。2006年に表参道ヒルズでのデビュー展で成功を収め、2007年からはニューヨークと高級別荘地とし有名なイーストハンプトンにて展示を行い、多くのメディアの注目を集めています。「人を陽気で幸せにする」絵を描くことを主題にし、コンセプトであるヒューマル（Humal＝Human animal）には力強い鮮明力と共感が込められているのです。ユニークなオリジナル作品の製作と同時に様々なプロジェクトにも関わり、ファッション雑誌、ファッションブランドのカタログ、ミュージシャンの為ポスターやCDデザインそしてワインラベルと、その世界観を広げていまう。1984年愛知県生まれ。
